Cancer is a silent killer. It quietly grows and spreads within the the individual without being detected or giving any indication of its deadly presence until it is too late to do anything about it. Sometimes we can tell that something is wrong, but the doctors are unable to diagnose the cause especially if it is located at a spot where it is difficult to detect. Sometimes, it is discovered by accident and the individual can have it surgically removed and receive treatment before it is too late. They survive, thank God.

Who am I to talk about cancer? I am a cancer survivor today because of Divine intervention. I began having back pains sometime in 2016. I was constantly not feeling well. I knew something was wrong, but all the blood tests and x-ray indicated that I was in good health. In the meantime, the cancer was quietly growing within me..

Finally, in 2021, I visited a new Doctor and told her of my constant feeling of being unwell, but that medical tests showed that I was in good health. I forgot to tell her about the back pains. She immediately sent me to do a CT scan and some blood tests to detect cancer cells.

Two nights before, I received the CT scan results, I had a dream in which God had enfolded me in His arms and there was such a feeling of great love as the Lord said to me that everything would be well, everything would be all right. I assumed at the time that the dream was telling me that it would be all right in the Country and that the Covid pandemic would not destroy us as a nation. However, little did I know at the time, that two days later I would receive the results of the CT scan that showed that I had a large cancerous mass in one of my kidneys, although the blood tests did not show any cancer cells. I was surprised.

 

It was then that I realized what the dream was all about. God had given me a promise. All would be well. He would take care of it. I need not worry. Jesus Christ would heal me. He did not choose to heal me through a miracle of divine healing this time but sent me to a gifted surgeon and his team to surgically remove the cancer. The surgery was a success, and I did not require chemotherapy. I healed very quickly without any complications. The word of God to me was fulfilled. Everything worked out well. Thanks to the divine intervention of God, who took care of all the financing.

 

Today, I remember those who like me have receive such a devastating diagnosis. I pray for your peace and recovery in the name of Jesus. I pray that you survive and live in the name of Jesus. I pray that you are able to continue to have hope and that you too would survive in the name of Jesus Christ. May the Lord Jesus Christ be with you in your time of pain, confusion and despair. May He strengthen your family members and loved ones as they go through this time of suffering with you which may even lead to death. But God is still in the healing business regardless of the outcome. He is still good, loves and cares for us. Have faith, don't give up!

Why am I telling you this?

Because there is another silent killer, more deadly, but thank God there is a cure for it, Jesus Christ.  Like a cancer, it is quietly destroying us, our families, our communities, our nation and the world. We see its symptoms of hate, murder, sickness, violence, fear, corruption and sexual immorality and such like but, we do not recognize it for what it is. We see the effects of it killing us but are slow to diagnose its root cause. We blame it on the society, the government, the parents, and other causes, but never the sin nature with which we were born, because of the disobedience of the first man and woman. (see Genesis 3) 

Things, however, continue to get worse and worse, as sin continues to spread into the very fabric of our being and the society undetected. This sin is unique in that it affects every human being who is born into this world. Its' wages is death. But there is hope.  There is a cure. If we surrender our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ, He can set us free from sin's influence on our life. If we have faith in Christ's death and resurrection and repent, we would no longer be under the control of sin's deadly consequences. Romans 3:23 states "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 6:23 states that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.   St John 8:36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. Why not allow the Lord Jesus Christ to set you free from the destructive effects of sin in your life today? Whether you live or die, you will have a home in God's eternal Kingdom where there will be no more pain and suffering. No more tears. (Revelation 21:4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.)
